From the CEO |
In the last two weeks, my family has enjoyed various memorable moments. I never write of personal matters in College pieces, but this is different, and I hope a timely reminder for all. In the space of the two weeks, we celebrated my birthday, our middle son's birthday, our eldest son's wedding in Byron Bay and the return of our youngest son and his girlfriend for the two weeks. They return to London today, and not surprisingly, Thérèse and I are not happy!
I tell you all this because later this week, many of you will return home to your families for a few days - depending on your commitments, somewhere between 1 and 10 days. Whatever your religious traditions, Easter remains a time for the family to gather and you have the added bonus of the mid-semester break. If you are going home, really be with your family - by that I mean remember how important it is to your parents and siblings that you are there and while they may smother you with affection know just how much it means to them to have you home.
Before you know it, you'll be back at King's and busy in the life that King's and the University provide for you. Don't forget home, though - the people there will always come first.
Wishing our ChoralFest group every success tonight. More...
