The second academic luncheon of 2024 saw changes to both the title and the invitee list, with a move to also recognise those members of King's College who have demonstrated significant improvement from the previous semester.

The successes of Semester 1 were nothing short of outstanding! We had 36 students (8%) of our students achieve a GPA of 6.50 or greater (out of a possible 7), and another 51 students achieve above 6.0 (11.5%). Having almost 20% of our student population achieve such a positive GPA is certainly a positive sign of the academic focus here at King's. Special mention must be given to the 10 students who achieved a perfect GPA of 7.0 - you should certainly be proud of your achievement. 

High achievement is something that has always been recognised well here at King's, however, we wanted to also acknowledge those who have managed to turn things around and show significant improvement. Semester 1 saw 7 students improve their GPA by 2.0 or greater, which is nothing short of remarkable. 

I hope to see just as many academic achievers at our first luncheon next year!
