The first King's in Pink in 2008 began its existence as a cocktail party with King's and Women's students volunteering as waiters. The seventeenth King's in Pink has evolved into a truly student-led and organised event. This year saw the realisation of my dream to see students take full ownership of King's in Pink Breast Cancer Fund Raiser. Many thanks to the organising committee who, with their careful planning, ensured that the day was an organisational success. Additionally, the fundraising is only successful because of the support of our donors, so thank you to you all for the silent auction and raffle prizes. The quality of the donations was outstanding.

Thank you to everyone for your generosity in supporting both of these by purchasing raffle tickets and bidding on the silent auctions. Thank you to Chartwells, our caterers who donated and presented the amazing breakfast on the day. Professor Fiona Simpson (Project Pink) topped off the day with her interesting responses to our questions about breast cancer research. We'll update you with the total funds raised later in the year. Congratulations to all involved.
