Men's Health Week 2025

Congratulations to Hamish Andreas, Oscar Brown and Tom Watts for initiating and leading a powerful Men's Health Week!

The week aimed to promote help-seeking behaviours and build positive male relationships. Highlights included a Pool party, a Mt Coot-tha hike, Mini World Cup Soccer on the Quad, Pint glass painting, and a BBQ while watching Friday night footy.

While men experience mental health conditions at similar rates to women, they are less likely to seek help and are more prone to suicide, particularly when experiencing loneliness or engaging in destructive coping mechanisms like substance abuse.

Thank you to Hamish, Oscar and Tom for shining a light on the importance of building strong relationships and breaking down the stigma around asking for help. Your leadership and commitment to supporting our students' wellbeing are what make our community so strong.

Well done!
