This time of year presents a time for reflection and change. For some, exams are over and there is a sudden weight off your shoulders. For others, it is a time of stress and anxiety and potentially little sleep. And for our departing residents, there are possibly mixed emotions around leaving and what the future may hold.

2023 has been a year where we engaged in a Community and Cultural review and as we plan to address the recommendations from this, I’m encouraged that King’s College is moving itself forward and responding to both the needs of it’s residents, but also the needs of society and that of a modern College. With this will come some change, but I’m excited about the journey that we have been on to date and look forward to the opportunities that will present as we tackle change head on!

SWOTVAC/Exam Period

A reminder as students start to finish exams, the College’s expectations around noise stays the same. King’s College remains a place where people need to be able to study and sleep and unfortunately this week, I have heard reports that some students are struggling in this space given those who disrespect these expectations.

Departing the College After Final Exams

A reminder to residents and as per the student handbook, students may be asked to depart the College as soon as their final exams are completed (within 24 hours). All students are to depart Saturday 18 November by 12 Midday. ACU students are to depart by Sunday 26 November by 12 Midday. 2024 Leaders are to depart Tuesday 21 November by 12 Midday.
