Master and Chief Executive - Mr Greg Eddy

The last few weeks have been frantic and there is no sign of that changing. Congratulations to sportswomen and sportsmen as you all strive for those ICC trophies. I am utterly convinced they are within your grasp and if things go your way it is entirely possible that both men's and women's sports trophies could be at King's by the end of the year. I commend the Sports Ministers Claudia Rodda and Will Robinson on their excellent leadership thus far.

In recent days we have bid farewell to Tony Andres (he will be greatly missed) and no doubt you are all wondering what is happening. I have made an offer to one of the recently interviewed candidates and I am waiting for that to be accepted. It is unlikely that the person offered will be able to start until later in the year so there will be a period without a Director in that role. However, I am certain that Lynda along with the support of other staff is perfectly capable of holding the fort until the Director of Academic and Career Development is able to begin. Thank you Lynda.

The Ball is only a week away and congratulations to the KCSC Executive and the Ball conveners for all the work undertaken to make this a successful weekend. I know how much effort it takes and they deserve the thanks of the whole College community. The Ball is preceded by two major sporting events on the Saturday and I encourage you all to be there. At 12.00pm the College plays St John's College in the Newcombe and Peden Cup for Netball and at 2.00pm we play St Leo's College for the Francis and Kassulke Cup in Rugby. There will be big crowds at both matches so please be mindful of that.

As always if there is ever anything that you need to discuss with a member of staff please don't hesitate - we are all here to support you.

Best wishes to you all.

Greg
