This week our community got involved in 'Wellbeing Week' which was led by our fabulous RA Team.
Our goal was to encourage students, staff and our wider community to learn and talk about how to increase wellbeing (Positive Emotions, Engagement, Relationships, Meaning, Accomplishment, Health) and support the wellbeing of those around them.
Most of the initiatives focused on self-care and connection. Activities included a, 'Community Dinner,' 'Mt Coot-tha Walk,' 'Paint, Cheese and Chat' event, 'Financial Wellbeing Presentation,' a visit from a 'Coffee Van,' and 'Seated Massage.'
As we know, having high levels of wellbeing takes constant work, so focusing on wellbeing doesn't just occur in one set week. We encourage you to build positive habits daily, whether it be going for a walk, chatting to friends, trying a new sport or acknowledging appreciation to those who make your life better.
