Semester 1 Reflection
Semester 1 Parent Cocktail Function - 27.05.23
Semester 1 Parent Cocktail Function - 27.05.23

Congratulations to everyone on recent successes and performances. Particular thanks to the Rowing Coaches, Matt Hart and Jon Tannahill and the Captains of Boats, Inez Kritzler and Harry Pettett on a very successful season – winning every single event over three weeks in both men’s and women’s competitions is a new record, I’m sure. Also, my thanks to those who performed at the recent Parents’ Cocktail Party. Thank you to all students who attended and participated or worked at the Cocktail Party on Saturday evening – 400 people had a terrific night!

We all look back on the wonderful achievements of the first semester – great performances in sport and cultural competitions. Friendships have been made, renewed and strengthened. Relations with other Colleges have been positive. Social events have been well managed and highly successful. Much has been done by many of you to enhance our reputation in the broader community. Thank you.

Finally, for those who wonder what happens if your GPA is less than 4 after this exam period, it is very simple. The first person you will be talking to is the Director of Academic and Career Services. Tony will be helping you to devise a strategy to ensure this doesn’t happen again.

My best wishes to you all as you complete Semester One and thank you for your personal contribution to a successful and rewarding semester at King’s.

Greg Eddy - Master and Chief Executive Officer
