The Wyvern Review |
Another busy and successful week at King's. A massive congratulations to our Table Tennis teams for your performance last weekend! FANTASTIC RESULTS!
I would like to take the opportunity to remind collegians to get behind our Sport and Cultural competitions both in playing and spectatorship! This makes such a difference to our performance and collective culture.
ANZAC Service
Our College ANZAC Service is on this Thursday 25 April at 7.00am in the forecourt. It is expected that all Collegians attend in Academic Dress. Please arrive no later than 6.50am.
Flats A, B, & C are reminded to ensure balcony is presentable.
Gel Blasters
These are not allowed on our campus. If found, they will be confiscated immediately.
Community Points
The King’s College community points program is designed to recognise those members of the College community who participate and contribute in a positive and meaningful way. These points will be used to aid in the room and car park allocation process but could also be utilised for Residential Leader selection, references by the College to employers or accommodation providers; and/or other decision-making procedures. They will be particularly important in helping to determine who is allocated a room when there is significant demand for that space.
Eligibility for points will be confirmed, where appropriate, with the KCSC Executive, Residential Leadership team, or College Administration. Eligible points will be derived from the current calendar year.
General Points Allocation

Student Positions (i.e. Gym Convenor, King’s in Pink Convenor, Social Media / Photo assistance) – 10 points
General Community Participation
This section rewards contributions that do not fit into one of the areas above. Members may nominate to receive points for contributions, which will be ratified by RL/KCSC/Administration and decided by Administration.
Miscellaneous participation (i.e. Bushcare working bee, Wellbeing participation/walks, R U OK Day, Clean Up Australia Day)
Alarms
I think all would agree, these are annoying. Please be mindful that your actions often can cause these alarms i.e. excessive steam from showers, cooking (particularly in areas not designed for cooking), deodorant etc. Collegians are reminded to check the Handbook as to how the College administers financial penalties to those who cause alarms. Collegians are also reminded of the legal expectations to vacate rooms when an alarm sounds.
