College Update
Women's Volleyball 22.04.23
Women's Volleyball 22.04.23

What a fantastic week it has been around the College. I have been taking time meeting formally with several 1st Year King's Collegians and it has been a pleasure to learn about the reasons why they chose to come to King's as well as the things that interest them more broadly.

I trust students have enjoyed their week here at the College and I would like to commend everyone for their attendance at various events including Debating, Volleyball, Tennis, ANZAC service, Coffee Club, Bushcare and AFL.

Chookas also to our College Band competing tonight at the ICC Bandfest. I'm very much looking forward to hearing what will be a vibrant performance supported by our King's community. In addition, please review the upcoming events below. I'll also be making an appearance at your Quad Sesh on Sunday.

Commemoration Dinner

A reminder to students that the Commemoration Chapel and Dinner will be held on Tuesday 2 May. If you would like to attend, please liaise with Rachelle (r.hynds@kings.uq.edu.au)

The 9pm Rule

A reminder to residents that for usual campus social pre's i.e. Thursday and Sunday, please adhere to the 9pm rule. At 9pm you either turn it down, go to bed or go out. If you believe the 9pm rule is a little (out-of-touch), please email the Deputy Master your suggestion. Until then, we have a 9pm rule. If security, your ADSS or RA ask you to turn down, I'd advise taking one of the options above vs the follow-up conversation that will occur with the Deputy Master.

June/July Holidays

Please be aware that there will be no catering during the June/July vacation period. The charge to stay over the period is $200 per week. Students wishing to stay must email the Deputy Master (a.eunson@kings.uq.edu.au) to inform him of this.

Guest Rowers

Please note that we will have 8 guest rowers from Grace College accessing our cardio room on Wednesday 3 May at 3pm for an ergo session. Please be aware and make them feel welcome.
