I'm well known for encouraging student cohorts to 'finish strong'. That is not a statement about how strong you need to party leading towards the end of the year but rather the opposite. How strongly do you want to finish with regard to your grades? How strongly do you want the staff to remember you for the good that you brought to King's in 2024 and what is that lasting legacy? How strongly do you want to come back next year and how well will your application to return be received by those at the College making those decisions? If you are not returning, how do you want to be remembered?
I encourage you all to think deeply about these questions. As I approach the end of interviewing over 60 candidates for the 24 ADSS and RL positions, many have spoken about the desire to 'give back' and I hope I can observe much of this over the coming weeks.

As all King's Collegians are aware, 2023 saw the College undertake a Cultural Review which was implemented by an external organisation. From this, 12 recommendations were made and the College now, through the People, Culture and Engagement Committee (PCE), are implementing these recommendations by undertaking smaller actions spread across the year. As an output of the PCE Committee, I will endeavour to keep Collegians up-to-date with how this process is tracking in 2024.
Does not really need to be said......... but it is coming down to Athletics. Let's dig deep as a community in participation, effort and support. Especially as we move into our final Cultural event on Wednesday with DanceFest!
Please note that next Saturday 12 October, there will be an extended lunch till 3 pm and no dinner service due to the setup for Parents' Cocktail Evening.
