Will You Give the Ultimate Gift?

Did you know that 1 in 5 Australians chooses to include a charitable gift in their will?

Today marks the beginning of Include a Charity Week, a nationwide initiative to raise awareness about the lasting impact of gifts left in wills. Leaving a gift in your will costs nothing during your lifetime, yet it can have a profound and lasting impact on future generations.

At King’s College, we’ve been deeply honoured to receive bequests that have created scholarships and bursaries—transforming the lives of students—or supported vital initiatives that have strengthened the College’s future.

As a valued member of the King’s community, you are already part of our story. By including a gift to King’s in your will—no matter the size—you can help ensure the College continues to thrive for generations to come.

Everyone who leaves a bequest is welcomed into The Wyvern Society, a special group named after a symbol that holds deep meaning for the King’s College community.

There are many ways you can leave a legacy. To explore your options or have a confidential conversation, please get in touch with Amanda Houston, Director of Engagement & Advancement, via a.houston@kings.uq.edu.au or 0400 399 089.

The College has also partnered with Gathered Here, a trusted online platform that allows you to create a legally binding will for free, in as little as 15 minutes, if you need to.

Please be assured that leaving a gift in your will to King’s is entirely optional. You are under no obligation, and you can still take advantage of the free service to ensure your loved ones are looked after.
