From the Deputy CEO |
As we round out the week, many would have noticed the sheer number of tours and interviews occurring across the College this week. I would like to commend everyone in the college on your interactions with these guests. I received many personal comments about how happy everyone seems and the positive culture around the college - so thank you.
It is a timely though that we are 'on show' essentially Mon-Fri 9am till 5pm. Through this period, you should expect a tour group in your flat at anytime, so please keep this in mind.
Wishing all our students the best of luck tonight for ChoralFest. Sing well, have fun, and be confident around your skills.
Please RSVP your attendance for the Formal Dinner (Later Years) next Tuesday evening 15 April. Open to Residents and Associates in their 2nd, 3rd or 4th year.
RSVP's are essential as there is limited seating. RSVP deadline strictly 12 Midday Monday 14 April.
The event will feature a Conversations Panel, chaired by our Associate Deans, with the theme 'Nuggets of Wisdom to Thrive at College and in Life - Getting Involved and Stepping Up'.
The panel will consist of Henry Dingle, Lucy Leonard and Greg Eddy.
REMINDER - You must RSVP through the Survey monkey link to attend this event. 1st Year students will have a BBQ dinner on the Terrace.

Students are reminded about locking doors to wings, especially fire escapes / gym etc. Our night porters lock these each night, but students should not be propping these spaces open with rocks etc.
Dress - Academic Gown
Please join us for Breakfast in the Dining Hall afterwards. Non-scan meal.
We have reorganised our cleaning schedule to allocate the job within the shortened week.
St John’s will be holding a chapel service on 16th April (during Holy Week). It’s called ‘Tenebrae’, which is a Latin word meaning darkness. The format of this service includes various readings from scripture and music (performed by students) following the passion narratives, all by candlelight.
All students and staff welcome.
