Welcome Back to Semester 2
Inaugural Boat Club Dinner - 20 July 2024
Inaugural Boat Club Dinner - 20 July 2024

It was a fantastic start to the Semester with our Inaugural Boat Club Dinner held here on Saturday evening. It was a fantastic event and I look forward to seeing the Boat Club further develop over the next 6-months.

Thank you also to the majority of collegians regarding your behaviour around the College this past week. I hope the week has been memorable for you and I'm very much looking forward to the activities around the College next week and would encourage students to start getting into good academic routines as you start to balance things out again.

Wellbeing Week

A fantastic line up of activities for Wellbeing Week. Looking forward to seeing people involved across the College.

Night Porters and Breaches of Expectations

Please note that the Night Porters have been instructed that if they ever see a person on site holding or smoking from drug paraphernalia (including vapes/cigarettes), those items are to be seized, along with any drugs, and reported to the Deputy CEO.

Cultural Review

As all King's collegians are aware, 2023 saw the College undertake a Cultural Review which was implemented by an external organisation. From this, 12 recommendations were made and the College now, through the People, Culture and Engagement Committee (PCE), are undertaking work through implementation of these recommendations through smaller actions spread across the year. As an output of the PCE Committee, I will endeavour to keep collegians up-to-date with how this process is tracking in 2024.

Safe Zone App

All Collegians are encouraged to download and sign up to the UQ Safe Zone App. There have been a number of alerts recently which members should be aware of.
