Gavin resided at King’s while studying Arts Theology between 1966 and 1968. He left university to teach Health Education in secondary schools across Queensland. Following this, he set up his own landscaping and design nursery business. Over the years, Gavin served on the College Council, as President of KOCA, and was recognised as a Fellow of the College. He will be remembered as a devoted member of King’s College – a loyal and dedicated Kingsman.
Please join us for a memorial service to celebrate the life of Gavin Kingsford Smith.
Friends, family, and the King’s community are invited to the memorial service in the College Chapel on Monday 30 September at 10.00am. Refreshments will be served directly after on the Terrace, outside the College Dining Hall.
